Create a Manual Entry
Not every referral arrives as a PDF. Sometimes a partner calls, or you’re entering one for a walk-in. Use the Manual Entry button on the Referral Inbox page to type one in by hand.
When to use it
- A phone referral
- A paper fax you’re transcribing
- A test or demo entry
- A correction when the PDF parser couldn’t read the file at all
What you fill in
A dialog pops up with the same fields you’d edit on an extracted submission:
- Patient (name, DOB, contact, insurance)
- Referring provider
- Reason / diagnosis
- Any notes
If the patient already exists in your registry, you can pick them instead of re-entering.
After saving
The manual entry goes straight into the Needs Review tab as if a PDF had just landed. You can either approve it right away (turning it into a referral) or leave it there for a teammate to double-check.
