Tasks
Tasks are the to-do list for your practice. They’re things that need doing — call a patient back, follow up on a referral, chase down insurance, remind someone — that don’t belong inside a single referral record.
Tabs
- Active — tasks still open
- Completed — tasks marked done
- Cancelled — tasks called off
Each tab shows a live count of how many tasks it contains.
Filtering and sorting
Along the top of the page you can narrow the list:
- Type — filter by task type (follow-up, callback, admin, etc.)
- Assignee — Me, Unassigned, or a specific teammate
- Sort — by due date, priority, created date, or last updated
Summary cards
Above the table you’ll see three cards:
- Active — how many tasks are currently open
- Completed — how many have been closed
- Overdue — anything past its due date that’s still open
What each row shows
- Title
- Type
- Assignee
- Due date (highlighted if overdue)
- Priority
- Associated patient or referral, if any
Click a row to open the task detail page with notes, subtasks, and an activity timeline.
Adding a task
Click Add Task in the top-right. Fill in the title, type, due date, assignee, and any context. You can attach a task to a specific patient or referral, which makes it appear in that record’s sidebar too.
Tasks vs. inbox submissions
Don’t confuse Tasks with the Referral Inbox:
- Inbox submissions are incoming referrals waiting to be turned into real referrals. They live in their own queue and become referrals once you approve them.
- Tasks are arbitrary to-dos created by you or your team. They can be attached to a referral, but they don’t represent a referral themselves.
