Patients
The Patients page is your practice’s patient registry. Every patient mentioned in a referral — incoming or outgoing — has a record here.
Tabs
- All — every patient in your registry
- Inbound — only patients who arrived via a referral someone sent you
What each row shows
- First and last name
- Date of birth
- Phone
- Insurance
- Number of referrals associated with the patient
- Most recent referral status and date
Click a row to open the patient detail page.
Patient detail
The detail page shows the patient’s demographics, insurance, and the full list of referrals they’re on — sent and received. From here you can:
- Edit demographics
- Open any of their referrals
- Start a new referral for them
- See a timeline of every touchpoint
Adding a patient
Click Add Patient in the top-right. A dialog opens asking for the minimum required fields (name, DOB). You can add insurance and contact info immediately or later.
Most of the time you won’t add patients directly — they’re created automatically when you approve a referral submission or start a new referral from the Send a Referral dialog. Use Add Patient for walk-ins, test data, or patients without an associated referral yet.
Duplicates
If Canairy thinks a new patient matches an existing one (same name, DOB, or phone), you’ll see a prompt asking whether to merge or keep separate. Picking “merge” combines the referrals under one record.
