Practice Details
The Practice Details tab holds the basic information about your practice that other Canairy users see when they look you up.
Fields
- Name — your practice’s name as it will appear in search and on referrals
- Primary email — the main contact address for your practice
- Phone — office phone
- Fax — fax number (still useful — a lot of referrals come by fax)
- Website — your public website, used for logo pulling and verification
- NPI — your individual or group NPI number
- Referral contact email — a dedicated email for inbound referral notifications (can be different from your primary email)
Editing
Click Edit in the top-right. Make changes, then Save. The edit mode is only available to admins.
Look Up Practice
The Look Up Practice button pulls information from the NPI registry and other public sources and suggests updates — address, phone, NPI verification. You can accept or ignore each suggestion individually.
Use this when:
- You just created the practice and want to auto-fill basic details
- Your contact info changed at the source (new address, phone, etc.)
- You want to double-check that your registry info matches what’s on file
What this information is used for
- Your referral address — the system generates your inbound fax/email address from your practice name
- Network search — other practices find you by name, NPI, or location
- Email routing — outbound email referrals (to off-platform partners) use these addresses
